Good to know

  • Rooms are intentionally compact—perfect if you're travelling with just a carry-on, but tight if you have large luggage to unpack
  • Shared bathrooms are available in hallways; guests report they're rarely crowded, so this setup works well in practice
  • The neighbourhood is excellent for food lovers—abundant hawker centres and restaurants surround the hostel
  • Walls are thin, so courteous neighbours make a big difference; earplugs may be helpful
  • The hostel suits solo travellers and backpackers seeking a social atmosphere with good value and location

What visitors say

★★★★★

“Hotel well maintained and clean, you are in fact not alowed to wear your shoes but you receive slippers. Bathroom in the hallways very very clean, always one or two available so it is not an issue to not have a bathroom in your room. Great location next to the Chinese district, great hawker centres for food, close to metro. Breakfast not great but it is always an option if you do not want to eat out. I would definitely recommend to a friend. Very very good price for singapore if you are on budget”

“It’s a pod hotel concept but with just the more privacy and luggage space. So do not expect big rooms. Cleanliness of the space and bedding was top notch. Bring long pajamas as it can get cold and air con is not adjustable. Better than warm temperatures so I didn’t mind. Toilet was the only feature which was uncomfortable feature during my stay. There was no proper hanging hooks for clothes and towel. And floors were thoroughly wet. Overall a pleasant space though.”

“Positives: Great location, near public transport too. Friendly staff, a clean room, able to use showers after check out was great too. Fine for a one night stay.||||Negatives: Very average breakfast. Stairs in rooms are deadly! Not enough bathrooms - we were always having to wait and in the mornings none of the bathrooms had any toilet paper.”

“I knew the room would be small but I couldn’t anticipate just how small it could be! Recommended to those traveling with only a carryon as there is no space to put a big luggage, let alone a space to even open one. The room was comfortable enough for sleeping. The walls are paper thin so fingers crossed that you have courteous neighbors. I had nice neighbors who were quiet my first night but the second night a new tenant checked in and started talking on the phone with the speaker on in the hallway at 8AM so I could hear everything loud and clear. ||The bathroom though very limited they are clean. The booking said there would be amenities but there was only liquid soap so I had to buy my own shampoo. But there are 7-11 and Guardian nearby. The shower floor could need some scrubbing so I decided to shower with my flipflop on. ||The staff were very nice. They explained how things work and helped you with the luggage. If you need new towels or have questions they’re always at the ready to assist. There’s no staff at night but you’re given a keycard that can access the building and your room. You can also store your luggage at the lobby after check out if your flight is later in the day. ||The best thing about this hostel is the location. A lot of bars and restaurants and a short walk to Chinatown. You can also access both the Blue line (that goes to Bayfront) and the Green line (straight to/from Changi/Jewel). ||I would stay here again as a solo traveler and if I don’t plan to carry more than one carryon. I would choose a bigger room than the standard cabin though next time.||”
